At StrongHER Project, we help girls build a positive, lifelong relationship with movement and strength.
We believe strength training is a powerful tool that supports the whole person — physically, mentally, and emotionally. Through fun, approachable strength-based movement, girls learn how to care for their bodies, manage stress, and build confidence that carries into every part of their lives.
We teach strength training as a tool girls can use to feel capable, grounded, and resilient. Movement is presented as something that works for them — helping manage stress, build self-trust, and show up more confidently in school and in life.
Our approach centers curiosity, choice, and encouragement. We focus on learning how the body moves, celebrating effort, and developing skills that extend far beyond the workout.

I grew up seeing exercise as a form of punishment. I played sports in school, but strength training was never part of the conversation — especially for girls. Weights were for male athletes, and movement was about pushing harder, not as healing.
In my 20s, exercise became tied almost entirely to weight loss, with a heavy focus on cardio and changing how my body looked. It wasn’t until my late 30's, after becoming a mom to two incredible girls , that I reframed my relationship with exercise.
Strength training helped me build confidence, manage stress, and feel grounded both mentally and physically. I realized movement wasn’t just about fitness — it was a holistic tool that supported how I showed up in my life.
I became a certified group fitness instructor because I wanted to change the narrative I grew up with. The StrongHER Project exists to help girls build a positive, lifelong relationship with strength and movement — one that supports their bodies, minds, and confidence far beyond the workout.
